Hey buddies! Super quick post today about the little table makeover I did on this beautiful entry table that I am actually using as a drinks table that I white washed for our sunroom. I first saw a table just like this on Erin’s instagram from Cottomstem.com (She has super cute designs and she seems like a girl I would just get along from her insta-stories, go ahead and check out her account, if you don’t already) She did a very similar paint job on her tables that she used as side tables in her bedroom. The drinks table I found was from 9 Design on Canton St in Historic Roswell, GA, I also bought our couch and chair that we are using in our sunroom there as well.
The drinks table had a darker brown top originally and didn’t really fit with the light and airy feel I wanted for this space. So, like lots of things in this house I decided to paint it. Using a dry brush I added very little paint at a time and did small strokes to the top to layer the paint. The paint I used was from Home Depot by the Rust-Oleum brand in the Chalked ultra matte paint in the linen white color. I wanted it to look almost washed in the white but not fully painted.
Once the top was layered in paint like I wanted, I dry brushed the edges of the metal cut outs. I also covered up most of the brown color on the legs, lightened up the metal with a few strokes all over and the little button-like imprints as well. There you have it! a very simple update that makes a much brighter statement for our bright and airy sunroom!
I’m still looking for the perfect drink sign to go in the frame. If anyone knows of a good place with cute signage, let me know!
Update! Just found this table is available online for purchase if you want to get crafty like myself. You can purchase it here.
