Sun Room Ideas: Our Sunroom Remodel Reveal
Little by little we have been remodeling our home trying to do most of the work ourselves to cut the cost. The sun room we remodeled FULLY ourselves and it has become my absolute FAVORITE room in the house. The sun room originally was split up into two rooms divided by a large sliding glass door to separate the space. The small room was used as an office and was carpeted in a horribly dirty cream color carpet. The other room was used as a sitting or dining area by the previous owner and had a very dated white and pink tile. So, needless to say we were excited to gut it and start from scratch!
We took out the large sliding glass door leaving the door way to separate the space while still keeping the feeling of openness. I chose a grey wood look tile for the floor in a chevron pattern. We laid all the tiles ourselves with Josh doing the cutting and me laying the tile. This was a first for me in the remodeling world. But I’m glad I learned how because now I can add tile expert to my resume’! haha!! But I really do take pride that we were able to do the tile all by ourselves. After we finished the flooring and baseboards I was able to get working on the design. I really wanted this room to feel bright and airy! I wanted to keep the colors light and the feel comfortable.
TADA!! Here are our sun room ideas reveal! Our favorite room in our house! (Well, for now) 😉
